I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #83692). I have over 25 years experience providing psychotherapy in a variety of settings, such as community mental health clinics, transitional housing for the homeless, K-12 schools in underserved communities, Veterans Affairs programs, hospitals, hospice, probation programs for at-risk youth, and in private practice. I have worked with diverse populations from various socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds of all ages. Having worked in many different settings, each with its own milieu, I have been trained to employ a wide range of interventions, such as cognitive behavioral (CBT), behavioral, brief therapy, psychodynamic, anger management, grief therapy, dialectical, solution-focused, emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and art therapy, just to name a few. While I employ a primarily insight oriented approach, I will apply an eclectic range of techniques, one that is uniquely tailored to each patient. I work especially well with creatives, artists, writers, gifted adults, couples, and women.
